Second Schedule of 2020 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing After Pandemic

Mark a big circle on your racing schedule around 5th June because NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series will back on the schedule.

Because of the Covid-19 outbreak, the NHRA declared a packed calendar for the 2020 points chase that adjusts the Countdown to the Championship because, after Indy, the points of the top ten drivers will not be automatically reset to zero.

In order to ease travel and reduce the racing teams' financial load, NHRA senior officials have revised the schedule for the rest of the 2020 season accordingly.

Basically, the new plan affected five events. The series will not be held in Atlanta, Richmond, or Epping, New Hampshire. Las Vegas and Charlotte will host just one game rather than two. These modifications occurred after the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing series has been forced to cancel or delay numerous race weekends due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Therefore, due to the uncertainty of the game during the pandemic, NHRA officials scheduled two makeup dates on the calendar to prevent further delays. These are the Gainesville Speedway will start from September 25 to 27 and the Houston Speedway Park from October 9 to 11.
