The Formula 1 Spanish GP 2020 will take place at the 4.655-kilometer Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The final race at Silverstone sparked a glimmer of hope among those expecting a competitive championship, or at least some opposition to Mercedes, who threatened to win every race of the season.

Due to the high temperature, softer compound than usual, and higher minimum pressure than previous competitions, the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix became a nightmare for the Germans. This allowed Max Verstappen to seize the opportunity and obtain the first victory of the year.

In Spain, the situation may move in a similar direction, as it is expected that a lot or more heat to be generated, and the Catalonia circuit will also generate very large side loads on the tires, so degradation may again become the protagonist. Although, yes, for this Grand Prix, the harder compounds will return: C3 is soft, C2 is medium, and C1 is hard, the same as used in the first Silverstone event.
